The Cameroonian right-back was a vital part of the side that went 49 games without defeat (a record in England) in the Premier League from 2003-2004; they became the first side to go an entire campaign undefeated in the English top flight football since the 1888-89 Preston side.
And Lauren told Goal the recent heroics of Leciester, who clinched the title on Monday despite being 5,000-1 outsiders at the start of the season, do not match up to those achieved by Arsenal's 'Invincibles'.
"Leicester did something unbelievable but to be unbeaten is something extra," Lauren said.
"Going a whole season without losing a game is something unique. We cannot put the two together. If you ask me, I’d say the unbeaten season is bigger.
"What Leicester did is something remarkable. At the beginning of the season no-one expected that sort of achievement.

"It’s been based on hard work, togetherness and huge commitment among everyone in that team. It’s something unbelievable for them and it’s good for football – another team breaking through against the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal."
The former Arsenal man also went on to talk about Arsene Wenger’s recent criticism and how he feels the Gunners manager is being harshly treated.
He added: "Wenger has responsibility because he is the manager of the team but we cannot blame everything on him"
