The glamour Champions League tie might have taken place at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, but that didn't stop many Barcelona fans flocking to the home of Manchester City’s dearest rivals – Manchester United.
Dozens of fans reportedly visited United’s Old Trafford stadium throughout the day to take tours and have pictures taken outside.
Supporters of the Catalan giants took the opportunity to get a glance of the home of the defending English champions across town in the build-up to their enthralling tie against Manchester City.
The ground was said to have been bustling with fans of the four-time European Cup winners with several vendors even selling City v Barcelona souvenir scarves, just yards from United’s own Megastore.
Luka Melansek, 21, is a member of the Slovenian Barcelona Supporters’ Club and expressed his delight after visiting the Theatre of Dreams.
He told the Manchester Evening News: “We really wanted to come here. As soon as we found out the draw we made a plan.

“Manchester United is a great club with a great history like Barcelona so we wanted to see it. The stadium is great.
“We have loved Manchester so far, it is a really nice city. But we couldn’t leave without coming here and the Football Museum.
“We went to the Etihad Stadium yesterday to see the players train but we didn’t manage to see them.
“We can’t wait for the game tonight, of course, we will win.”
Scarf seller John Valentine, 55, said: “It’s been really busy. Loads of them have been down looking around and doing the tours. You can’t blame them for taking advantage of the time they’ve got here.
“We’ve done a really good trade. It’s great when one of the big boys are in town like this. It’s a great opportunity for us.”
