Just a little cheek: Roberto Cavalli raises the temperature in Milan

Hurrah for the young and cheeky - exactly what Roberto Cavalli celebrated in his Just Cavalli spring-summer 2013 collection for Milan Fashion Week.

The Florentine designer, famous for womenswear made to make mens' knees tremble, went for the dainty rather than demonic in his latest collection. Leggy beauties wafted down the runway in printed chiffon, all long limbs sliding beneath irregular hemlines. Shredded stitching created a peek-a-boo effect which left just enough skin covered to excite the imagination.

Heels were high but unaggressive, including peep-toe booties and sandals chain-strapped at the ankle. Most of the summertime show was loose, fluttering and delicately demure, but Cavalli didn't disappoint with a staple smattering of spray-on drainpipes in signature man-eater print. Several models also swaggered in torn leather, weighed down with gilt buckles and jewel-encrusted wrist-cuffs.

The Cavalli girls were fresh-faced in minimal makeup with their hair long and gently tousled.

Actress Sharon Stone was in town for Fashion Week with her Argentine beau Martin Mica, who cameoed on the Cavalli runway sporting a dazzling double-breasted summer suit in white with Tuxedo bands of leopard-print on the trousers. Ms Stone will front an event on Saturday for amFAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
