Here's Jonny: the waxwork at Madame Tussaud's

The pose is perfect, the blue eyes fixed intently on a single spot deep within the hushed crowd.

His hands are cupped together - the symbol of one man's concentration and the hopes of an entire country. But while he might look like England's 24-year-old rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson, and has that famous pre-kick pose down to a T, the perfectly styled hair and unruffled brow give the game away.

Because, here by popular demand, is the latest waxwork attraction at Madame Tussaud's. "We decided it was time for Jonny to join the ranks after we had so much interest in him following the World Cup in November," said a spokeswoman.

The new exhibit also gives visitors the chance to taste glory, Wilkinson-style, and "Do a Jonny". Under the expert eye of a rugby coach, guests can emulate that infamous prekick ritual and see their efforts at scoring a penalty relayed live on TV with simultaneous commentary. The waxwork Wilkinson will be unveiled to the public this afternoon.
