Blaine 'sets himself up as a target'

Comedian Dan Aykroyd visited David Blaine early today and said the illusionist had set himself up for the attacks on him.

He said: "If you set yourself up as a target, you are gonna get whacked. I think throwing things comes from people expressing themselves. It brings out a bit of anarchy in people."

Aykroyd, star of the 1980s movie Ghostbusters, claimed to be a huge fan and said: "I like what Blaine is doing. His stunt is all about endurance and sacrifice. He is doing it to inspire people to do things different."

Unfortunately Blaine stayed fast asleep during the visit.
