The Wolseley: old school glamourand elegance by the jeroboam. And the food is fantastic.

The best food in London

1/17

Food virtue?

It has to be portion control! I’m obsessed with food wastage as it’s now a perverse global polluter. And Kale.

Meat, fish or vegetarian?

Almost unanswerable. That’s like asking a parent to pick a favorite child. Gun to my head...meat.

Favourite cookery book?

Larousse Gastronomique.

The best cook you know who isn’t a professional chef?

The actor Andrew Howard. He’s so good, Harrison Ford asked him to cook his Christmas lunch one year.

Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Peter O’Toole, Mae West, Richard Harris, Katherine Hepburn and Diana Vreeland.

Burnt is released in cinemas on November 6.
