Brits can expect a week of rain as showers and thunderstorms sweep the UK, with flood warnings in place.
A "danger to life" warning remains active for the River Goyt at Whaley Bridge in the Peak District, where emergency services are battling to prevent the Toddbrook Reservoir dam from bursting.
Heavy rain and flooding caused parts of the 180-year-old dam to crumble last week, prompting the RAF to bring in reinforcements and forcing thousands to leave their homes.
The Met Office warned: "River levels in the River Goyt could still rise rapidly as a result of water potentially flowing from Toddbrook Reservoir ...
"Evacuation plans have been implemented in Whaley Bridge."
Although rainfall is expected to be modest in the dam's surroundings in the coming days, forecasters say wet weather is set to sweep other parts of the UK.
Heavy downpours are set to be unleashed on Monday across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, according to the Met Office.
A yellow severe weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday across large swathes of Scotland.
The thunder will bring with it "torrential rain", warned forecasters.
Through Tuesday, showers will be "heaviest and most frequent in the north, where they could bring prolonged thundery downpours", said forecasters.
Rain is expected to continue through Wednesday to Friday, and lasting through the weekend amid "warm, humid" conditions and more heavy showers.
In London, showery rain is forecast this week with some heavy showers on Friday and the chance of thunder.
