Thanks to the latest home technology, it couldn't be easier to control your home with just the sound of your voice.

When you can't be bothered to scroll through the TV guide on your Sky TV, simply hold down the button on the right-hand side of the touch remote control and say the name of the show or movie you’re looking for.

A personal weather station ensures you ever get caught in the rain again. Just ask Netatmo for the weather and you'll be given a personalised report of everything from temperature and pressure to indoor air quality.

Finally, Google’s newest gadget, below, offers similar voice commands and music features to an Amazon Alexa. You can already control devices including Philips Hue lights, Nest and Chromecast.

Or use Google Home as an assistant — ask it a question, much as you would use a search engine, and it reads the answer to you.
