Finally, the secret to Jennifer Lopez’s ageless appearance is here.
After much teasing and begging from her fans, the 51-year-old actress singer has finally confirmed the launch of her eponymous cosmetics line, JLo Beauty.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, the Hustlers star posted a selfie showcasing her trademark "JLo glow," with super bronzed cheeks, taupe eyelids, and a caramel-coloured nude lip. "Sunset glow...#JLoBeauty coming soon," she captioned the shot.
Big on glow and short on the details, the post left fans wondering what the range might look like.
If it bears any resemblance to the 70-piece collection she collaborated with industry behemoth Inglot Cosmetics on in 2018, which boasted no less than 26 blushers and bronzers, JLo’s line may well be a glow-giving affair.
The Inglot collaboration was not her first foray into cosmetics. JLo also long been a pioneer of the celebrity perfume concept. Launching her first era-defining Glow by JLo fragrance back in 2002, JLo now has over 30 fragrances attached to her name, the most recent of which, Promise, launched in 2019.
The exact details of what we can expect from the line are yet to be revealed, but given Jen’s reputation for a brilliantly bronzed glow, high gloss lips and a smattering of sparkle, one imagines there will be plenty to get glammed with.
Back in 2018 the singer also hinted she would someday launch skincare. Speaking to Refinery 29 she said, "I will be coming out with a skincare line. I’ve been working on it for a long time, because I don’t want to put [just] anything out. I want it to be something that encompasses all the things I’ve learned and all the secrets I have. And it doesn’t have anything to do with needles."
It seems there is a good chance the JLo Beauty line will include skincare. Welcome news to anyone keen to replicate her age-defying skin.
