Watford held their fate in their own hands before Tuesday's games, but that disastrous 4-0 home loss to Man City - coupled with Villa's win - leaves them inside the drop zone by a point.

The Hornets face Arsenal on the final day, and must better Villa's result against West Ham. They trail Villa in the table by one goal, but Villa have scored more and conceded more - and that means Watford may have to put a few past Arsenal even if they do win.

Bournemouth avoided being relegated without kicking a ball on Tuesday, but their situation looks bleak.

Eddie Howe’s side head to Everton on the final day of the season, and must while while also hoping that both Villa and Watford lose. Any other results will see the Cherries relegated.

Villa have given themselves a fantastic chance of survival by beating Arsenal to climb into 17th position, and face West Ham on the final day.

As long as Villa match or better the results of Watford and Bournemouth, they will be safe - and even a defeat might be good enough now.
