Mo Farah at London Marathon 2019: Everything you need to know about the men's elite race

London Marathon 2019
Men's elite race
Start time: 10am, Sunday April 28

World record holder Eliud Kipchoge and home favourite Mo Farah headline a stellar field for the elite men’s race at this year’s London Marathon.

Kipchoge, who is also the Olympic champion and holds the course record, is looking for a fourth win in the race in the last five years, and has not been beaten over 26.2 miles since the 2013 Berlin Marathon.

A four-time Olympic champion on the track, Farah has undergone a successful transition to the road, finishing third in London last year, and taking his maiden marathon win with victory in Chicago last October, where he also set a new European record.

Last year’s runner up, Tola Shura Kitata, who also finished second in the New York contest last year, is back for another crack, as is former world record holder Wilson Kipsang.
